EverGreen Solutions Underwrites League of Women Voters of Metropolitan Tulsa Website

Tulsa, OK – The League of Women Voters of Metropolitan Tulsa (LWVMT) announces their new website has gone live – http://www.lwvtulsa.org. The site is designed to help Tulsa area voters with the basics for good citizenship: how to register to vote, where to vote, in what precinct they live, when the next election is, and what’s on the ballot.

Known for the non-partisan, factual information it gives citizens before an election, the LWVMT works to
encourage informed and active participation in government. Sheila Swearingen and Jay Engle, co-presidents
of the Tulsa League, hope its website will be THE portal through which Tulsans and all Oklahomans will
access information needed to make an informed vote. The website provides facts on candidates, ballot
propositions, and the elections as well as information on Oklahoma’s representatives at all governmental
levels, local, state and national, and access is only one or two clicks away.

Even voter registration will be simplified, according to Swearingen and Engle. If an individual is not registered
to vote, he or she can download a registration form from the website, fill it out and take it to either the Tulsa
County Election Board or the LWVMT office, according to the League. However, both women warn that voter registration is currently closed due to the Tulsa city elections to be held next Tuesday, April 1.

The new website is being provided through the generous donation of its design and development by Spherexx, a marketing company that specializes in using technology and the internet, and through the underwriting by EverGreen Solutions, a technology consulting firm serving the real estate industry. The League is a nonpartisan political organization that encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. The
League does not support or oppose any particular political party or its candidates.
